Major Bleeding Module

Uncontrolled bleeding is one of the biggest causes of preventable deaths in trauma.

This Responder Pack Hook-and-Loop Module utilises the tourniquet and trauma dressings used by Military and Police Forces around the world. The Major Bleeding Module is a self contained medical kit that will fit straight into your Responder Pack™, or can be used as an Every Day Carry (EDC), and taken to work or stored in the car.

The Major Bleeding Module contains:

• SOFTT Tourniquet (Rescue Orange) - a military grade tourniquet that is designed to stop serious extremity bleeding and is use by Australian Police and Emergency Services

• 4" Israeli Emergency Bandage - a specialised compression bandage that allows you to manage serious bleeding caused by traffic accidents, workplace accidents, shootings, stabbings and other life threatening wounds. A 'Standard' issue in major military organisations worldwide

• Trauma Shears 15cm - used to easily cut through clothing to expose the site of an injury so wounds can be managed

• Emergency Blanket - patients who are in shock or have serious bleeding should be kept warm to maximise the ability of their blood to clot and to stabilise injuries

• 2 pairs Nitrile Gloves (black) - to protect you from disease and protect the patient from infection

• Permanent marker - to record patient observations and write the time that a tourniquet is applied.

• DRSABCD Flow Chart Card - to quickly remind you of the steps you should take when confronted with a life threatening emergency

• Hook-and-Loop Label Major Bleeding - to easily identify this life saving kit in an emergency
